Resurfacing Laser

WHAT IT IS
Laser resurfacing is a treatment that is used to reduce wrinkles on the face and skin irregularities such as acne scars and blemishes.
IS THIS TREATMENT RIGHT FOR YOU?
People who have fine lines and wrinkles around their eyes, mouth, and foreheads are ideal candidates for this treatment option. If you have shallow scars from acnes or a non-responsive skin after a facelift, the doctor can recommend laser skin resurfacing. However, there are candidates with acnes and very dark skin who are not advised to take this treatment. People with stretch marks are also not advised to take this procedure. There are clients this treatment may not be right for them. At the time of consultation Dr. Pep will discuss skin treatment options that will suit your skin and accomplish what you are hoping to achieve.
HOW IT WORKS
Potenza and PicoSure Pro are lasers commonly used in resurfacing with minimal downtime.
The way this works is that each layer vaporizes skin cells that are damaged at the surface level. The procedure directs short, concentrated pulsating beams of light at affected skin area, precisely removing the skin layer by layer.

WHAT TO EXPECT
You may have redness and swelling. Itching and stinging for a few days after the procedure is also a common experience. With individual differences playing a major factor, some persons may experience blisters, sunburns and raw skin. It takes between 2 -3 weeks for the body to gradually heal.
